Right after the VMAs and Met Gala, seeing our favourite actors walk the Emmys’ red carpet in cinematic attires brought about joy to our Monday morning! Filled with bright hues, feathery accents and mile-long trains, it was TV’s biggest night and the looks didn’t disappoint. While the event that took place in Los Angeles was attended by many nominees, their British counterparts watched and celebrated their wins from the Soho House in London.
Thanks to the actors from Netflix’s The Crown, the atmosphere in London was filled with outfits that were minimal and sleek. Gillian Anderson showed up in a two-piece Chloé crop top with an embroidered fringe and frayed hem skirt while Olivia Colman was seen in a simple colour-blocked Roksanda cape dress. At the same time, we saw Emma Corrin donning a custom-made pale yellow Miu Miu dress and bonnet, complete with a killer black manicure – a look that some would call sleek while others would raise their eyebrows at for its rather bizarre appeal!
However, back in LA, the mood was a little more celebratory and upbeat. Issa Rae embraced transparency when she showed up in a silver Aliétte mesh slip dress while Yara Shahidi shined in a green Dior Haute Couture cocktail dress. Michaela Cole showed up in a neon yellow two-piece set by Christopher John Rogers and Anya Taylor-Joy appeared to be the star of the night in her Dior Haute Couture get-up in the same striking colour. On the other hand, WandaVision’s Elizabeth Olsen added a touch of understated glamour to the event in a dress made by her sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. All in all, here are the top looks that we fell in love with from this glamorous event:
