With the reopening of our international travel borders yesterday, this year’s Ramadan is going to be extra special since many of us can finally spend this fasting month with our nearest and dearest. As much as nothing beats the familiar taste of homecooked delights, there will be days when we’d want to take a break and go out to feast on hearty meals. Ahead, we’ve put together a list of our top picks from the many hotspots in town that we’d recommend you to head to!

1. Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown

Ideal for buka puasa with your colleagues, Quan’s Kitchen is back with a more extensive menu thanks to Sous Chef, Meor Muhammad Syahir Meor Sahaid. This year’s curated menu revolves around Malaysia’s familiar bazaar cuisines that are popular this season. Bazar Selera kicks off with starters such as Acar Nyonya, Rojak Buah and Bubur Lambuk, after which seafood lovers can enjoy a wide spread of seafood on the ice counter that’s filled with fresh crabs, mussels, prawns and scallops for you to choose from. Indulge in mouth-watering classic favourites such as the Mongolian Roasted Whole Lamb that’s served with Bukhari Rice, Braised Mediterranean Beef, Kambing Kuzi with peas, Kam Heong Flower Crab and more. If you spot a guy who’s performing eye-catching stunts at Lan Zhou La Mien, drop by to try his fresh hand-pulled noodles that are served in a hot bowl of bone broth and served with thin slices of beef. To end your meal, the dessert options that you can pick from to sweeten your tongue are Sarawak Kek Lapis, Serawa Durian & Sago Pearl, traditional Ice Kacang Cendol and a variety of Malay kuihs.
