Gone are the days when we could step out with glossed-up lips without a care in the world. Today, with protective masks (double at that!) taking over the bottom half of our faces, it seems almost redundant to wear any lip product (aside from lip balms) as our masks will smudge away whatever we have on underneath.
Still, wanting to adhere to the SOPs and keeping ourselves and our loved ones safe, wearing masks has given us a chance to go wild with our eyes and we’re more than okay with that! Be it dramatic wings to harmonised lids, it’s all about adding some flair to spice up our ‘new normal’ looks. 1. Bobbi Brown Luxe Metal Rose Eye Shadow Palette, RM260
If you’re all about natural tones with a rosy touch, this palette should be up your alley! One of our favourite releases from Dior’s Fall 2021 Collection is the 5 Couleurs Couture Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette. Coming in two options: 659 Early Bird and 459 Night Bird, the colours, as well as the pans, are incredibly stunning with each palette creating a look of its own – a sultry rosy look with the former and shimmery moss green with the latter. Portraying feather motifs in autumnal shades, the fine powders are intense and long wearing with a shimmery finish. Bonus: you can get your initials engraved on the casing (up to nine characters) for an additional RM28!

3. Lush Eyeliner, RM100
If eyeshadows aren’t your thing, you can substitute them with a vivid coloured eyeliner like Lush’s! Despite a more minimal look, the vegan liquid liners provide just as much drama as they come in vibrant and highly-pigmented hues such as Courage (emerald green), Grounded (bronze), Motivation (aquamarine) and Success (silver). 7. Wycon Mirada Sensual Mascara, RM76
Mascaras have been our best friends pre- and mid-pandemic, especially while we WFH as they instantly brighten up our no-makeup faces. Now that we’re stepping out once again, mascaras remain our go-to for a good reason and Wycon’s Mirada Sensual Mascara is one of our new favourites for its lengthening, curling and volumising effect.
