When it comes to fashion, it’s usually our sense of sight and touch that take in the art. But with the repercussions of Covid-19, many of us have taken to fashion podcasts (or podcasts in general) as hearing conversations in the background while working in isolation to feel somewhat comforted. And while there’s already a plethora of ’em in the fashion industry, we’re also seeing luxury fashion brands stepping up to connect with their followers through engaging conversations with insiders, celebrities, artists and even the founders themselves. So if you’re looking for a new podcast to get into, check out some of our favourites below:

1. Chanel Connects on 3.55

Chanel’s ‘3.55’ podcast expands with its newest series called Chanel Connects that focuses on ‘what happens next’. Discussing the future of art, film, music and culture in various languages, we get to hear insightful stories from game-changers in their respective industries such as Edward Enninful, Keira Knightley, Pharell Williams and Tilda Swinton.

2. Coach Conversations

Unlike other podcasts, ‘Coach Conversations’ is one you can actually listen and watch. Launched in January 2021 on YouTube, the monthly series sees discussions on culture, community and creativity with the global faces of Coach, Jennifer Lopez and Michael B. Jordan in the first few episodes. Watch them have authentic discussions with the rest of the Coach Family such as former monk-turned-purpose coach Jay Shetty, hip-hop artist Cordae and The Cut’s Editor-in-Chief Lindsay Peoples Wagner.

3. Dior Talks: Feminism

Get into the IWD spirit with Dior’s latest podcast series titled ‘Feminism’. While not a stranger to the topic with Dior’s past seasons like Feminist Art and Female Gaze, this new series that’s hosted by journalist and biographer Justine Picardie dives into the lives, ambitions and challenges of women who have not only inspired Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri and her work at Dior, but have also been a part of the House’s collections since taking the helm in 2016.

4. Dressed: The History of Fashion

Don’t expect your average fashion history lesson with this one. ‘Dressed: The History of Fashion’ goes beyond the clothes and trends that have shaped the industry as of today. Co-hosted by Cassidy Zachary and April Calahan, they examine the reason why we wear what we wear by dissecting the social and cultural events throughout the eras.

5. Gucci Podcast

Want to immerse yourself in the world of Gucci? Then tune in to the Gucci Podcast for some rich storytelling and candid conversations. Since 2018, Gucci has featured the likes of Sir Elton John, singer Florence Welsh, actor Gugu Mbatha-Raw, chef Massimo Bottura and activist Scarlett Curtis in engaging topics like fashion, music, film and food, and even hard-hitting topics like gender equality, racial issues and sustainability.

With daily updates and current topics within the fashion industry, The Business of Fashion is the go-to publication for students to entrepreneurs from all over the globe. 7. The Cutting Room Floor

New York-based womenswear designer, Recho Omondi takes on the role of host (and critic) on her own podcast show ‘The Cutting Room Floor’. Diving into honest conversations with some of fashion’s notable figures such as Diet Prada, Heron Preston, Mara Hoffman and Peter Do, the personalities discuss a wide range of topics that are rarely talked about while offering insider tips and views for budding creatives and fashion followers everywhere.

8. Wardrobe Crisis with Clare Press

‘Wardrobe Crisis’ is a podcast that discusses the big issues that fashion is facing such as the challenges of being sustainable and ethical as well as the environmental impacts that it has caused.
