I’ve never been much of a fan of designer bags, but something about Burberry’s latest ‘Lola’ bag additions for this season has got me hooked, and I imagine them to be great staples in my wardrobe in the coming months!
In case you didn’t know, the ‘Lola’ Bag that was designed by the brand’s Chief Creative Officer, Riccardo Tisci made its debut as part of Burberry’s Autumn/Winter 2019 womenswear collection. Dubbed the ‘little sister’ of the popular ‘TB’ monogram bag (inspired by Thomas Burberry’s own archival drawings of his initials), the ‘Lola’ Bag is touted to be the energetic, rebellious and vivacious version of its more sophisticated counterpart. An interpretation of what femininity is today while celebrating the freedom of expression through its modern style, it’s definitely a range that I’ve been eyeing!
Stepping into the Autumn/Winter season once again, Burberry has released a line-up of new colours, textures, styles and never-before-seen shapes of the ‘Lola’ Bag. Coming in a colour palette of deep maroon, deep saffron, maple brown, pale vanilla and the must-have black, the line now features the ‘Lola’ Zip Bag – a softly structured lamb leather bag flaunting the iconic exploded check quilt, and ‘Lola’ Bucket Bag – a roomy bucket bag coming in small and medium that’s constructed from Italian-tanned quilted lambskin, which happens to be my personal favourite!
