It's finally time to deck the halls, put a candy cane in your coffee (believe me, it tastes amazing!) and turn to Netflix to catch up on some good shows after a long year. Although we'll be losing some favourites this month, there'll be a whole new crop of shows arriving in January, so grab your plushest pillow and cosiest blanket, and get ready to binge-watch our picks!

1. Single All The Way – 2nd December

If there’s one Christmas movie you must watch this year, let this be it! Directed by Michael Mayer and starring Jennifer Coolidge, Jennifer Robertson, Kathy Najimy and Luke Macfarlane alongside lead actors, Michael Urie as Peter and Philemon Chambers as Nick, the story begins when Peter, desperate to dodge his family's judgement over being unmarried, persuades his best buddy, Nick to act as his boyfriend on a vacation home for the holidays. Will their feelings change when Peter’s mother sets him up on a blind date with her hot trainer, James? There’s only one way to find out!

2. Money Heist: Season 5 Volume 2 – 3rd December

Are you ready to catch the series' last five episodes after Season 5's first volume, entitled La Casa de Papel in Spanish premiered on 3rd September? Fans are up for a roller coaster ride as the show comes to a legendary end. The popular series stars Úrsula Corberó as Tokyo, Álvaro Morte as The Professor, Itziar Ituño as Lisbon, Miguel Herrán as Rio, Jaime Lorente as Denver and Enrique Arce as Arturo.

3. Our Beloved Summer – 6th December

Choi Woo-shik, Kim Da-mi, Kim Sung-cheol and Roh Jeong-eui star in this upcoming South Korean romantic comedy television series that’s directed by Kim Yoon-jin. The show is a coming-of-age drama about a couple who had split up, but were forced to reunite after a documentary they made in high school went viral. Will they get a second chance at love? Only time will tell.

4. Hustlers – 10th December

This 2019 American crime comedy-drama film was written and directed by Lorene Scafaria, based on New York Magazine's 2015 article ‘The Hustlers at Scores’ by Jessica Pressler. Starring Cardi B, Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart and Lizzo, it depicts a group of strippers in New York City who start stealing money by drugging stock traders and CEOs who come to their club before running up their credit cards.

5. The Unforgivable – 10th December

Ruth Slater, a woman who has served a sentence for a violent crime, has been freed from prison and re-enters a society that will not forgive her for her past. Faced with harsh judgement from the place she once called home, her only chance for redemption is to track down her estranged younger sister she was forced to abandon. Catch Sandra Bullock, Aisling Franciosi, Jon Bernthal, Linda Emond, Richard Thomas, Rob Morgan, Vincent D'Onofrio and Viola Davis in action in this one.

6. Twenty somethings: Austin – 10th December

This new reality series was filmed in Fall 2021 and set in Austin, Texas, in which eight 20-somethings navigate love, friendship and adulting while embarking on new adventures in ‘new normal’ times. To put it simply, it's barely a hidden Real World reboot and we're here to see it. Hook 'em Horns! After all, your twenties are a wild, strange and special period of your life that you only get to experience once.

7. A California Christmas: City Lights – 16th December

Joseph Van Aston, the son of a wealthy San Francisco real estate developer, was enjoying a carefree life and spending his time luxuriating in his wealth before he posed as a ranch hand and met struggling farmer, Callie, with whom he fell in love. After a year of romance, the couple is leaving the ranch to save Joseph’s family business in the city, while simultaneously planning their wedding. This sequel to A California Christmas stars real-life couple, Lauren and Josh Swickard alongside David Del Rio, Amanda Detmer and Ali Afshar.

8. Last Christmas – 16th December

Despite working as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop in London, Kate doesn’t believe in Christmas magic – until she meets Tom, that is. In this fun Christmas rom-com with a twist, Emilia Clarke plays a disillusioned Christmas store employee who has a relationship with a mysterious man (Henry Golding) and starts to fall in love with him. As if those names aren’t enough pull, the film also stars Michelle Yeoh and Emma Thompson.

9. Emily In Paris: Season 2 – 22nd December

Ooh la la! In the second season of the show we all enjoyed binge-watching while in quarantine last year, Emily is still trying to make sense of the City of Light. But what is she going to wear? Did she say her goodbye to Gabriel? What about Camille? Lily Collins returns as the titular character starring alongside Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie and Samuel Arnold as Julien. Lucas Bravo also stars as Gabriel, Camille Razat as Camille and William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, plus Lucien Laviscount as Emily’s new love interest, Alfie.

10. Sonic the Hedgehog – 25th December

Sonic the Hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartz), a hedgehog with superhuman speed, partners up with local town sheriff, Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) to fight Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), an evil mad scientist who wants to exploit Sonic's superpowers to control the world. The film also stars Tika Sumpter, Neal McDonough, Natasha Rothwell and Adam Pally, and is just the treat you’d love on Christmas night!
