With 2020 being such a tumultuous year, coming out of it felt like ending not just a chapter but a whole book! Although we’re still facing the same issues today, we’ve become a whole lot stronger and adopted positive attitudes to overcome the challenges after challenges that we’ve been facing since the Covid-19 pandemic started in early 2020.

Pantone’s Colours of the Year 2021 (the second time in Pantone’s 21-year history that two independent colours have been chosen for the coming year) expresses exactly that, with Ultimate Gray (Pantone code 17-5104) and Illuminating (Pantone code 13-0467), a bright and cheerful yellow hue. With two separate colours and different moods coming together, the union symbolises positivity and support to reflect the mood of 2021. To give you a quick breakdown, Ultimate Gray exhibits stable and strong-rooted foundations while Illuminating shows off a cheerful and optimistic vibe that, when paired together, somewhat tell us that everything is going to work out for the better with time.

Want to lift your spirits even more? Try incorporating these hues into your daily outfits! Turns out it’s actually quite easy as the joint palette is versatile and allows you to work with both or either of the colours as you like.
