Being out and about in Malaysia, finishing off our skincare routines with a generous amount of sunscreen is probably the most important step ever. Otherwise, we’d be spending days healing from sunburn – yikes! Even as some of us continue to WFH, sitting close to windows with the sunlight shining through would give us a list of UV damage we don’t want – from premature ageing to skin cancer. On top of that, there are also blue light emissions (also known as High Energy Visible (HEV) light) from our electronic devices that’ll affect our skin over time, causing fine lines and wrinkles, dullness and loss of firmness, which most of us are already suffering from these days.
While it seems like we can’t catch a break whether we’re outdoors or indoors, thankfully there are formulas that help prevent these issues from occurring or getting any worse. One we’re sure you’re familiar with is sunscreens. But if you’re looking for all-rounded protection that not only shields your skin but improves the way it looks, read on below:
1. Shield and repair your under eyes with Clarins Double Serum Eye, RM295
You’ve definitely heard this a thousand times before, but we’ll say it again: the skin below your eyes is prone to ageing faster than usual. 3. Slather on some Supergoop! Glowscreen Body Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF40/PA+++, RM195
We have to admit, while we religiously wear sunscreens on our faces (albeit there are times when we genuinely forget to!), we’re always skipping the body SPF and it’s such a terrible thing to do! If you’re anything like us, then now’s a great time to start as leaving our bodies exposed to the sun only increases the risk of getting sun damage and skin cancer. Now that we’re starting to go out more, finding the best makeup products that can sit under our face masks is at the top of our to-do list.
