A couple of days ago, Longchamp showcased its Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter ’21 Fashion Show in the renowned Battesti riding hall in Paris – a fitting venue for the French fashion house considering its DNA and new collection.

Taking inspiration from the brand’s equestrian roots, Longchamp also injected elements from Pierre Paulin, a French interior designer whose designs heavily influenced Parisian apartments in the 20th century. With the line’s mix of sporty and feminine pieces that included midi dresses and cropped pants with knee-high boots and oversized suits, we saw many looks that were a nod to Pierre, especially his iconic curved sofa which was interpreted into prints and quilted textures as seen on some of the dresses and jackets.

These details were then perfectly matched with accessories straight out of the ’60s and ’70s, thanks to denim and suede sets and chunky acetate chain embellishments on the loafers and ‘Roseau’ bags. Plus, the brand even added a bucket hat in LGP jacquard canvas which we’re sure will become its next sell-out item!

Going back to the topic of bags, Longchamp’s latest season’s star bags also received a very Parisian update. The ‘Brioche’ came dressed in denim, faux shearling as well as calfskin and lambskin with wave-shaped quilting that referenced a Pierre Paulin chair. On the other hand, ‘Le Pliage® Cuir’ was transformed with padded and quilted lambskin which came in its classic form and as a drawstring backpack. Not only that, ‘Le Foulonné’ also made a comeback as a streamlined square sling bag!
