Comfort Call

On the day she arrived at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA, Francisca opted for a casual yet striking co-ord set from Fiziwoo. The combination of the intergalactic-themed blue and gold kimono top and peg-leg pants paired with silver stilettos from Zalora was probably the most comfortable outfit that she was spotted in throughout the competition week. With a full day of back-to-back activities lined up including meeting the Miss Universe Officials and fittings, we must say that this was a great OOTD choice!

Culture Theory

On the night that the contestants got to learn more about the history and culture of other countries as well as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino where the pageant took place, Francisca decided to go all out in a blue creation by Mizta M.O Sarawak that made her stand out from the crowd. The blue outfit was a masterpiece inspired the traditional Iban costume, which came with intricate gold detailing around the waist and a modern selampai. On one of the best nights where everyone got the chance to learn something new about another country and culture, Francisca deserves a round of applause for sharing our national heritage at an international level.

Daring In Red

Francisca was in full swing on the night that all the contestants got together for their first dinner, clad in a hot red number by Alia Bastamam that ticked all the boxes of what made it a winning look in our books. Eye-catching? Check! Cowl neck? Check! Thigh-high slit? Check! Criss-cross back? Check! Figure-flaunting? Check! Styled by Salmi Subri, Francisca was seen carrying a matching clutch that was adorned with glittering red crystals from The Chic Initiative and she even followed the SOPs by wearing a simple black mask from Invisi Smart!

Practical Glamour

Jumpsuits are undoubtedly one of the most versatile outfits to ever exist and Francisca took this opportunity to show the world how a simple piece can be turned into something fancy! For her pre-judging session, our nation’s beauty queen once again showed up in an outfit by Mizta M.O Sarawak. Just like the main colour of the flag of Sarawak, the yellow jumpsuit that Francisca wore represented diversity and was decorated with pelaga beads which are popularly used on traditional outfits worn by the Iban community. To top it off, she added on a traditional silver Iban arm bracelet that symbolises courage and femininity to complete her look. RESPECT!

The Pride Of Sarawak

Francisca seems to nail it every time she wears a Rizman Ruzaini creation – remember that hot pink evening dress that she was clad in when she was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2020 last September? Similarly, we were in awe when we saw Francisca take on the Miss Universe stage in a ravishing white gown that was embellished with shimmering crystals! Fun fact: the ‘Santubong’ evening gown, which was inspired by Mount Santubong in Sarawak, took six months to complete and was filled with about 300,000 crystals that were handstitched with precision onto the piece! Above all, this masterpiece reflected the creativity and hard work that the designers put in just to make Malaysia shine on stage and all we wanted to scream out loud was, “YASSS QUEEN!”.
