To bridge the gap between menswear and sustainability, H&M has joined forces with Spanish footballer and the vice-captain of Arsenal FC, Héctor Bellerín to introduce its first-ever sustainable collection for men, ‘Edition by Héctor Bellerín’. Staying true to his signature style, the range is entirely made of eco-friendly materials and will be available from 18th February 2021.

As an advocate for veganism, sustainability and social responsibility, it’s no wonder that Héctor has gained fans around the world. What’s more, his unique fashion choices and passion for conservation have inspired many to be more environmentally-conscious. That said, this collaboration truly makes an impact on H&M’s commitment to change and is a step in the right direction.

“Fashion is like activism and our clothes can spread a positive message to others. I’m happy to collaborate with H&M on this collection that’s entirely made from sustainably-sourced materials, and to push for a better future for fashion and the planet.” – Héctor Bellerín

Featuring organic and recycled cotton, recycled nylon and polyester as well as sustainably-sourced viscose, the line is made up of oversized streetwear pieces mixed with utilitarian details that make the perfect staples for men. From muted earth tones to playful graphics, the collection reflects Héctor’s effortless personal style while sending out positive messages that touch on serious issues such as ‘To Protect Our Future Together’ and ‘Live With Purpose’.

Some of our favourites from the lot are the unstructured boxy-cut blazer with its matching wide cropped trousers, roomy cotton poplin shirt with exaggerated yet functional pockets and zip-off cargo pants that can be easily transformed into shorts – an essential in this tropical climate. As for accessories, be sure to keep an eye out for the check-print shopper and hats as they’re super easy to match and complete any look! Scroll through to check out more pieces from the collection:
