SENSE Scoop is a forward-thinking, curated website that is dedicated to revealing the latest scoop + movers and shakers in the fashion, beauty & grooming, pop culture and lifestyle scenes in Malaysia and beyond.
Our user-friendly website is designed to be easy on the eyes, practical and relevant, with a good mix of the latest style and beauty updates, trends, reviews and must-haves, lifestyle offerings and happenings, art and culture snippets as well as insightful personality interviews.
In a nutshell, SENSE Scoop is all about providing a fresh, entertaining and purposeful reading experience to its readers – female, male and everything in between – who are young and young-at-heart, digitally-savvy, always on the go, into the newest in everything and have a strong sense of character and style. #TheScoopSquad is made up of a diverse bunch of personalities (some wacky, others less so but are quirky, cool or original enough that they’re part of the team!) who, together, bring their creative instinct, big ideas, personal touches, youthful energy and all-round positive vibes to the board. We take pride in our work as seasoned storytellers, content creators, key opinion leaders, designers, artists, marketers, tech wizards and then some, and you’d better believe it when we say that we are driven to spark conversations and inspire your days, elevate your mood and enrich your life!

Great things never come from comfort zones and Mei Ling can attest to that, after making the switch from a magazine editor to an educator during MCO 1.0 and now, the Chief Editor of Scoop. After spending the past decade travelling extensively, she is now happy to stay put in KL as she continues to explore her creative pursuits.

Vasenta Selvanayagam
Vasenta’s weekends consist of writing, reading, discovering KL’s latest cafes and taking way too many OOTDs. As much as she enjoys going out, Vas enjoys staying home too – chilling in her garden with a glass of wine in hand. As the saying goes, life is all about balance and Vas strongly believes that too much of something ain’t good.

Angela has built a career out of her passion in marketing. She loves to inspire people and finds nothing more satisfying than making new connections and developing relationships, solving problems and contributing to the growth of products. When she doesn’t have her marketing cap on, Angela is most likely busy layaning her munchkin, Julian.

A lover of fashion and skincare, Rachel is always seeking out the hottest new trends – whether it’s a unique hack or a fresh accessory. When she's not on the hunt, you'll most likely find her discovering new music, battling enemies in video games or getting lost in her sewing projects.

Alison’s foray into working started at 17 as a part-time fashion warehouse assistant. She then did her internship at an NGO that helps Orang Asli families in Malaysia and beyond, before graduating and landing a job at Sense Scoop. On her days off, Alison loves to sleep, sing and watch Netflix but when she’s all geared up, you can find her taking photos, hiking or sketching.

Asha credits The Vampire Diaries for sparking her interest in writing and storytelling over a decade ago. With a strong interest in mysteries, thrillers and anything that brings out the excitement in her, she can often be found binge-watching a new series on Netflix. On days when she needs a break from screen time, Asha turns to wine and the wilderness.

Zariel Zahann
Zariel picked up a drawing pencil at the age of five and hasn’t stopped doodling since. He believes that a visual speaks a thousand words and can be a powerful communication tool. Upon venturing into graphic design and animation, his goal was to visualise any vision in the form of a meaningful artwork.

Lester Liang
Lester is Scoop’s resident keyboard specialist and food critic. When he’s not working on the latest design trends, Lester can be found rocking out to Linkin Park on his headphones or baking a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen. He also likes to annoy his dog, Kikko, and all of his puns are intended.

Nur Fatin Izzatie
Fatin grew up away from her family as she entered a boarding school at the age of 13. Upon completing her degree in Multimedia Computing at UITM Malacca, Fatin scored her first job at Scoop. Among the things that irritate her the most are: slow internet speed, people who borrow but don’t return things, and those who take selfies without end!

Coming from a digital animation background, Xiang found an interest in taking photos when he attended a photography class while pursuing his diploma and decided that it is what he wants to do for life. After nine years in the industry, he has shot everything from magazine covers to beauty, fashion, interior, personalities, still life and weddings.

Isaac Fung
Isaac is someone who always has a poker face on (as you can tell from the brown paper bag), so you’ll never know just how much dark humour lies beneath it. As someone who believes that the greatest innovations come from solving the most basic problems that everyone faces daily, Isaac hopes to join the great inventors’ club one day.

Casey Lee
On the outside, Casey appears to be soft spoken, calm and quiet but believe it or not, these words don’t fully reflect her on the inside. Having graduated with first class honours in multimedia design, Casey is always armed with crazy ideas and ready to battle any challenge. In her free time, she loves drawing and playing games.
