If you’re a jewellery lover, you’d know that herringbone necklaces have been blowing up, becoming an essential piece in everyone’s wardrobe. But with Cartier releasing the newest additions of the ‘Clash de Cartier’ range, I think I’ve just found the new ‘It’ necklace that not only amps up a look but hits the mark for any occasion!

In case you didn’t know, the ‘Clash de Cartier’ collection, which was launched back in 2019, blends classic silhouettes and sophisticated charm with an intense energetic spirit. Using glistening rose gold-tone studs, beads and clous carrés (French for square nails), Cartier has created singular ribbed mesh jewels that are two-sided, flexible and sharp yet soft to the touch. Its design celebrates opposing styles and clashing attitudes, and has since become the Maison’s newest signature jewellery.

Today, Cartier has added two new lines exploring proportions and design intensities with ‘Supple’ and ‘XL’ which are perfect for showing off the many facets of our personalities. The former plays with clean styles and delicate silhouettes while ‘XL’ balances out its signature design with a larger size that packs a punch.

With just a glance at both collections, my eyes instantly went to the ‘Supple’ necklace and not just because of its lustre! Its silhouette reminded me so much of one of my favourite every-day chain styles but it’s even more elevated with its linked and ever-shifting bold form. Subtler than its ‘XL’ counterpart, this piece is gentle yet daring and versatile enough to pair with any look, whether it’s classy or edgy.
