6 Sneaker Styles We’re Putting On Rotation This Season

1. Gucci ‘Gucci Basket’ Sneakers

You can always count on Gucci to make a daring statement! Look out for the House’s new ‘Gucci Basket’ sneakers next week, a pair with a distinctive silhouette featuring bright colours and mixed materials. With three different colourways and an ID tag included, the footwear uses a new eco-material with over 70% of the upper made from sustainable and renewable sources. Aside from that, the lace-up high-tops feature mesh tops, padded and ribbed backs that go around the ankles as well as contrasting rubber trims that show off Gucci’s iconic motifs on the outsoles and tongues of the shoes.‍

The ‘Gucci Basket’ Sneakers will be available in stores for men and women from 15th June.  

2. Lacoste ‘AG-LT21 Ultra’ Trainers

Making its debut with tennis player Daniil Medvedev at the 2021 Miami Open, the ‘AG-LT21 Ultra’ by Lacoste is a mix of futurism and high performance that’s perfect for the courts! Constructed with a woven mesh upper for breathability, double-lacing system and padded collar, the trainers also come fitted with the brand’s own technologies such as a PEBEX frame and DOW foam for support and cushioning as well as Goodyear rubber outsoles for optimal stability and agility.

The ‘AG-LT21 Ultra’ Trainers are available now at Lacoste boutiques and selected retailers.

3. Loewe ‘Flow Runner’ Sneakers

For its Spring/Summer ’21 Collection, Loewe has given its ‘Flow Runner’ sneakers a ’70s revamp inspired by the streamlined look of the decade’s track shoes. With its signature wave sole ‘flowing’ from the back of the heel to the top of the toe, the latest addition features padded nylon, suede and calf leather uppers in multiple colourways that show off the essence of the retro period. Adorned with an appliqué ‘L’ monogram over the side of the shoe and constructed with a raw-cut leather heel panel and tri-colour sole, these kicks will have you feelin’ groovy at all times!

4. Louis Vuitton ‘LV Trainer’ Sneakers

Taking inspiration from old-school basketball sneakers, the new ‘LV Trainer’ from the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer ’21 Men’s Collection arrives just in time with vivid colours and details that are unmistakably Louis Vuitton. Decorated with Monogram flowers on the gel-injected technical rubber sole and the LV signature on the tongue and side, the sneakers are crafted in an array of materials from suede, smooth leather and denim – there’s even one covered in pink rhinestones! With some styles featuring an embossed #54 on the heel to reference the year the House was founded, others come with a subtle Louis Vuitton script signature on the side.

5. Onitsuka Tiger x Doi Tung Collection

Taking a more sustainable approach towards the planet and its people, Onitsuka Tiger has partnered up with Thailand’s Doi Tung Development Project to give three of its popular models a unique and ethical makeover. Using locally-sourced hand-woven textiles that take craftsmen in Thailand a week to create, the patterned fabrics will be applied onto the ‘Mexico 66™’, ‘Mexico 66™ Paraty’ and ‘Serrano™’. Having a much softer feel compared to machine-woven fabrics, the sneakers provide a whole lot of comfort and are pretty durable too! With a colour palette of red, white, grey, navy and light blue, the models are all dressed with the iconic Onitsuka Tiger Stripes on the sides.
