As we move into the winter season (maybe not in Malaysia literally, but in the fashion world, at least), we’re always looking to add something from the latest collection to our closet. Considering how humid our weather is, not everything works, of course, but this time, you’d be happy to know that there were no comically small bags spotted, no dresses with their own instruction manual and most importantly, no shoes that might potentially cause your feet to bleed.
The stand-out trend of this season is the quilt trend. It’s quite a no-brainer in our opinion (which means that Balenciaga hasn’t done a bizarre version of it yet), but what makes it so great in our books? Well, it’s pretty much utilitarian (most of the pieces here are resistant to rips), and if you’re sleepy at two p.m. and not in the vicinity of your bed, it simply means that you can plop your quilted item on the couch (or floor, your call) and use it as a pillow.
Did we try it for ourselves? Go figure. Do we highly endorse the quilt trend with these pieces? You bet.

It’s the quilt trend on a ready-to-wear piece… that’s (gasp!) not a jacket! It’s the womenswear piece with a classic collar that your BF (or brother… or bro-friend…) might steal from your closet. The K-pop stars love it and so do the LA TikTok stars. But if you’re neither one of them, this quilted jacket will still work as a trend for you! How has the house of Prada managed to turn nappa leather into something so plush and quilt trend-like? We’re not sure about the genius that is Miuccia Prada’s mind, but what we can agree on: the ladylike feature of this bag looks better the rougher looking it gets… from you sleeping on it.
